Ghanaian Migrants Information Services - Achievement of 'better Ghana goal' depends on us-Pastor

Pastor Julius Nangai, in-charge of Christian in Action Church at Nkoranza has stated that the achievement of the "better Ghana Goal" declared by President John Evans Atta Mills depended on the collaborative efforts of all Ghanaians.

He therefore called on Ghanaians to offer selfless and dedicated services in support of the implementation of government policies and programmes to promote national development.

Pastor Nangai was delivering a sermon and a New Year message at Nkoranza at the weekend.

He asked people in responsible positions used their knowledge, experience and intellect to serve the country diligently and to eschew apathy to increase productivity.

Pastor Nangai deplored apathy and negligence saying:"unless such behaviour is stopped the country will not grow".

He advised the youth to bury their political differences and unite to undertake development programmes that would bring remarkable improvement in their living conditions.

The religious leader urged leaders in the public sector and in business to practise "open administration" and respect the views and ideas of their subordinates adding:" workers should eschew lateness and laziness at the work place".

Pastor Nangai cautioned his colleague pastors "who have placed their selfish interests above the spiritual needs and development of their members" to desist from such negative practice, which he said tarnished the image of the religion.

"It is rather unfortunate that some bad nuts in society have turned themselves into pastors and engage in all sorts of social vices that have dented the image of pastors", he said.

Pastor Nangai advised Christians to be wary of false prophets who were amassing wealth at the expense of the people.
