Finance and Economy: American Chamber of Commerce on investment mission to Ghana
The American Chamber of Commerce powered delegation is due to embark on a investment mission to Ghana between the 6th and 10th of January.
The delegation is expected to meet with several relevant stakeholders to explore investment-collaboration opportunities with the relevant local institutions.
Amongst these relevant institutions is the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) which the delegation is due to meet this Thursday, January 07.
Sources of Citi Business says the centre has already extended formal requests for technical and financial support from the American Chamber and will be exploring the possibility of having the chamber assist in establishing an investment promotion fund.
The visit is therefore deemed a profound opportunity for the development of the Private sector especially the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) which though has high membership has rather been under-resourced since the AGI broke away from it sometime ago.
The delegation from American Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, December 7th would also be stating its position on request by the GIPC building of a befitting office for the GNCCI.
The American Chamber of Commerce which has received assistance from the US government over the years is located directly opposite the seat of government, the white House.
